Fear III

Fri Nov 27, 2009, 7:40 PM
  • Mood: Terror
  • Listening to: Akira Yamaoka - A Stray Child
  • Watching: A horrible yet familiar scene flash before me
  • Playing: Horrifying mind games with myself, and enjoying it
  • Drinking: Beer
What is it about fear that most people seem to enjoy? Roller coasters, scary movies, haunted houses, all of which are greatly enjoyed by most people (though I must emphasize that they aren't for everyone). And then there's those who love to scare the complete and utter shit out of themselves by placing themselves in situations in which they can be killed. People who enjoy sky diving, base jumping, fist fighting, and visiting places which are genuinely haunted. Is it the adrenaline? Or just the suspense of not knowing if this is the time when they don't make it out alive?
I've found that I enjoy being scared. Or maybe not exactly scared, but... eh, it's difficult to explain. I've been listening to this one particular song alot, called A Stray Child by Akira Yamaoka. One of the instrumentals sounds eerily like an air raid siren. And I like it. Not just the melody, but the raw emotion I get from it. And I guess it is very similar to fear, but I know I'm not in danger. I'm listening to it this second, and I feel energized somehow. Like the fight or flight response is in full swing. I can feel my blood as it courses through my veins. I can feel the sweat as it rises to the top of my skin. The scene that is painted in my mind by this music is... indescribable. And I suppose this time, Terror is the perfect word to describe my mood at the moment.

Art serves a very big purpose in my life. It serves as an outlet for all the frustration that comes with life as a misfit. Great art can fome from genius or suffering, and when the two are combined, amazing things are created (and no, I'm not calling myself a genius).

I'm part of a very strong triad of Indigo Juggalos. United are we by the power of three, and yes, three is indeed a VERY powerful number. Together we shall try our damndest to better the world, but first we must try to better ourselves, and the same goes for all Indigo Children.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is a number of a man; and his number is six hundred threescore and six.

You won't cry for my absence, I know -
You forgot me long ago.
Am I that unimportant...?
Am I so insignificant...?
Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?
